Thomas Malewitz is an Assistant Professor and Director of the Ed.D.: Leadership Program in the College of Education at Spalding University. He possesses a M.T.S. from St. Meinrad School of Theology and a Ph.D. in Education and Social Change. Tom has over a decade of experience as a secondary educator in Catholic education. He is a frequent presenter of national workshops and papers on 21st century pedagogical practices, adolescent formation and spirituality, ethical leadership, and on the works of Thomas Merton. He is a first-place Catholic Media Association (CMA) book award-winning author for Authenticity, Passion, and Advocacy (Wipf & Stock, 2020). Tom is an active member of the American Educational Research Association (AERA), the College English Association (CEA), and the International Thomas Merton Society (ITMS).
