Dan Shortridge

Dan Shortridge writes about mid-Atlantic history, places and people. His solo books include Joe Biden's Delaware and DIY Public Relations, and he co-wrote Lost Delaware, Secret Delaware, and 100 Things to Do in Delaware Before You Die with his wife, Rachel Kipp.

He writes for the University of Pennsylvania and previously led and worked in communications and marketing for a marketing firm, two Delaware state agencies, and a countywide school district. Before that, he was a reporter and editor for newspapers in Ohio, Maryland and Delaware, winning several national awards.

His writing has appeared in The Baltimore Sun, Scouting, Camping, and CampBusiness magazines. He holds master's and bachelor's degrees from Western Governors University. He lives in Philadelphia.
