Michael Strahan

Michael Strahan was born in 1958 in Downey, California and spent his childhood hunting and fishing in Northern California. After High School he moved north to Oregon then to Hawaii where he became a Divemaster. From there he moved to Alaska where he spent over 30 years involved in the outdoor industry as a registered hunting guide, a whitewater rafter, and a hunter and fisherman in remote wilderness in Alaska. His first book, “Float Hunting Alaska’s Wild Rivers” has been wildly popular in Alaska hunting circles. He also owns and operates the Alaska Outdoors Supersite, Alaska’s largest website focused exclusively on the Alaska outdoors. In early 2000 he launched the Alaska Outdoors University, a video training curriculum designed to train do-it-yourself hunters for Alaska big-game hunting. He currently resides in Costa Rica, where he is assisting his wife as she battles Alzheimer’s disease.
