Fred Fleet is a writer, artist, composer, filmmaker and cartoonist. His essays have been published in over 40 newspapers including: The Los Angeles Times, Pasadena Star News and The Black Scholar. He was a top writer for Yahoo contributor’s page with over 2 million views. His poetry has been published in various literary magazines and community publications including: LA Reader, Black Romance and Red Owl Magazine. His articles on retiring and living in The Republic of Panama have been published in International Living Magazine. He has five books published on Amazon Notes of a Whimsical Observer (poetry) ,Spiritual Dancer, Investing @ The Speed of Success, and How I Forgot My Wife's Name But Lived To Write About It (humor). His film “How To Interview A Vampire” was a featured film in Pittsburgh Film School’s Halloween Film Festival.

When Fred is not writing or composing music for his small films YouTube videos like The Celery Song, he and his wife, Karen are avid motorcycle riders. Touring over 5,000 miles across the country. Fred is also a record-breaking powerlifter who has been competing in weightlifting contest for over 30 years.

Dark Cloaks and Nightmares is Fred’s first detective mystery novel. Investing @ The Speed of Success is Fred’s first book on the investing in the stock market.
