John Hurst

John Hurst can accurately be described as the product of two very distinct cultures, specifically the continental UNited States, and England. As a child Mr. Hurst spent the first nine years of his life in America with his two sister and parents. He resided in New York where he learned to love baseball and developed a fondness for preverbial underdogs who defy expectations. No one one who knows him will be surpirsed to know that he was a mets supporter, not a Yankee's fan. He was also a member of a theatrical family whose generation contributions to arts included his father (a proffesional actor for 60 years), his grandfather (A theatrrical lawyer for many years), and his grandmother (A voice over actress who contrited her talents to the making of king Kong. Following his parents divorce Mr Hurst would spend the next 9 years residing in England where he developed a fondness for cicket and actively pursued his interest in the theatrica arts. Mr. Hurst made his acting debut with the Royal Court theater youth company and retains happy memories of his time in England. Upon his return to America he pursed a number of academic studies while continuing to hone his skills as a writer. He would go on to obtain a BA, MA and Ph.D in psychology. His writing credits include poems in the Longitudinal Press, and the publication of a two-act political satire, The Fall of President Tweet, and a collection of poems entitled Fissures in the American soul.
