Philippa Charrier is an award-winning urban designer, wellbeing advocate, and founder of the Thrive Mode Movement, a growing global mission to transform student wellbeing through science-backed lifestyle and environmental change.
Trained as an architect and urban regeneration specialist, she spent over a decade leading major development projects across the UK and Australia, driven by one core belief: that the environments we create shape how we feel, behave, and perform.
In 2013, Philippa co-founded FAT Properties to rethink student accommodation from the ground up, applying principles of behavioural science, wellbeing, and human-centred design to improve student life.
She is the author of Designed for Wellbeing and the bestselling Student Thrive Mode: How to Hack Your Mind & Body for University Success, which offers a practical, evidence-based framework to help students thrive during one of the most transformative periods of their lives.
Philippa is also a sought-after keynote speaker and co-hosts the Designed for Wellbeing podcast and YouTube channel with her husband, Tom.
She lives in the Lake District with their three children.
