Jeff Schneider (b. 1973) is an American musician and writer from Providence, RI. He is best known as a guitarist and songwriter for the bands Arab On Radar and Made in Mexico (SkinGraft Records, ThreeOneG Records), who helped to innovate the Avant-garde Noise genre throughout the 1990s and early 2000s. He was an integral part of the Fort Thunder/Providence music scene. He has released several full length LPs. His song “Yes We Can” was featured on the video game Guitar Hero. Jeff’s music has been spotlighted in Thrasher Magazine, Skyscraper, and Maximum Rocknroll, and has been reviewed by Pitchfork, LA Reader, and Brooklyn Vegan. He wrote and published a memoir about his years in Arab On Radar entitled Psychiatric Tissues. In July of 2020, Jeff released a collection of short stories entitled Gallons Per Minute. Jeff founded Pig Roast Publishing in 2017, specializing in books about underground art and music. He has toured the US and Europe extensively as a musician and as an author performing live readings. In 2020 he was interviewed on The Lydian Spin Podcast (Lydia Lunch) and Zero Point Fiction podcast. He is a husband and father.
