Alex Shibutani

Alex Shibutani is a two-time Olympic medalist, writer, producer, photographer, speaker, consultant, Sports Envoy for the U.S. State Department, and member of the LA28 Athletes’ Commission.

In 2018, he and his sister, Maia Shibutani, made Olympic history by becoming the first ice dancers of Asian descent and the first team of color to medal at the Winter Olympic Games. They are also the first sibling duo to win two Olympic medals in Ice Dance.

The “ShibSibs” are recognized for their close sibling relationship, dynamic personalities, and storytelling abilities.

Their first book together, Kudo Kids: The Mystery of the Masked Medalist was released in 2020. The sequel, Kudo Kids: The Mystery in Manhattan was released in 2021.
