Gina Marcantonini

HI,

my name is Gina Marcantonini, I was born in Rome in 1974 and grew up on a small provincial farm.

Difficult family life and a visceral love for Nature often led me to take refuge in my fervent imagination.

After the Diploma I tried to create the family of my dreams by showing my children the world through stories and fairy tales, often invented on the spot, with a well-defined moral to teach them those values in which I believed so much.

Over the years the characters have grown and matured with us. The stories have been enriched with details and meanings until you decide to jot them down in a notebook for the pleasure of finding them again.

In 1998, thanks to the director Domenico Paravati, a collaboration began for the local newspapers "La Gazzetta della Flaminia" and "Il Corriere del Tevere", in which I published articles, concerning the area where I currently reside, of ancient history and current events, crosswords, personal reflections and my short stories.

In 2010 some of my works were published in a collection entitled "Ethics of Friendship" by the Montecovello Publishing House.

Now my puppies are adults and in 2019, encouraged by family, friends and the children I'm a Nanny for, I decided to approach the world of self publishing.

As an independent writer, I have so far published some short stories on Amazon, "The Golden Heart of Mother Nature", "Fiabe dei Sogni Sereni", "Il Paese del Sole Nero", "Il Paese di Xerolandia", "Il Fantasma di Fogliano e La Scomparsa del Signor Nitaro”, “M.A.G.I.A.”, and a manual of creative crochet in two levels, “Creating Recycled Fantasies” and “Traforo che Passione”.

In December 2020, having understood that writing could become much more than a beautiful passion, she decided to send some of her works to some publishing houses from which she received an unexpected positive response from three of them and from a literary agency.

In June 2021 a collection of fairy tales entitled "Sleepy fairy tales" was released, published by Blitos. December 2021 saw the publication of "The inherited adventure" published by Luxco. In February 2023, “La reviviscenza di Ania” was released on Amazon.

… But this is only the beginning of the adventure…

There are tons of stories in the pipeline, often just to be reviewed, just waiting to be shown to the world, so follow me on social media and subscribe to my newsletter to stay up to date on news.
