Thomas Stimson is a native of Washington State and a veteran of the United States Coast Guard who has found his writing voice with ‘fish out of water stories’ where the primary character(s) make their way through unfamiliar, and sometimes dangerous, situations in a humorous fashion. Thomas is a member of the Northwest Independent Writers Association (NIWA) with whom he has contributed short stories to their annual anthologies Guests, Illusion and Journey.
Under the pen-name Charles Thomas, he also publishes the SweetSips series of liqueur-making recipe books which can be found on Amazon along with his novels.
His first published works are a historical novella set in Spain and Central America in the time of Columbus "The Jackass" (2020), a mystery set in 1960's Eastern Europe "The Secret of Linden Court (2023) and a fictional memoir "The Rising Star of Kimmie Coconut Tree" (2024). Upcoming works for 2025 include the romantic comedy set in Italy, "The Prince of Nothing" and a tragedy "A Bitter Ending in Sugar Land" involving a young Sikh in Texas. Impending retirement and lots of imagination are the impetus to write and share his stories at this stage of his life.
