Vera Hardiman

Vera Hardiman loves living close to the Yarra Valley , a very pretty wine growing region not far from Melbourne, Australia.

Currently this author is enjoying taking part in the INKubator Project, where writers from Melbourne, Australia and Slemani in Iraq are collaborating under the UNESCO banner to create innovative pieces of writing. Each writer was asked to create a character who lives in 2025 in their own city. These characters were then presented to the whole group. Each writer had to choose a character from the other city and write about them. The project is expected to finish by 2026.

Vera was delighted that she was awarded second prize in the short category of the Stories of Life Competition 2025 with her story, 'Dizzy Spell' . This story deals with a very challenging incident in Vera's life, where she suffered a labyrinthitis attack while driving. Read about her rescue. The story has been published in the 'Turning Ten' anthology published by Stories of Life, Tabor College, Adelaide.
