Dr. Smarajit Roy

Dr Roy is a Visionary Entrepreneur. He has obtained an M. Tech and Ph. D from Brunel University, London, He has over 30 years of industry experience in UK industries including 20 years at Ford Motor Company Dagenham as a Manager in the Power Plant Operation division. He is a specialist in advising in Surviving Supply Chain Integration, Knowledge-Economy and Sustainable Value Creativity. He is a Lecturer in Entrepreneurial Management at London and Ghana. He has spoken at many seminars circuit in the UK (presented at the 15th European Biosolids and Organic Resources Conference) and published many technical papers in UK, India and China (VIP speaker at " China Bioenergy Technology and Investment Summit held on 20-21 May 2010 at Shenyang. He is the author of "Toilets To Rent" ISBN; 978-1-60911-749-8. This book deals with the health, economic and social effect on people generally and women and children of the effect of lack of proper sanitation in developing countries. He is the inventor of the "Neat U Loo" system (Composting Toilet). He has also designed a parallel system of Water main for reducing water usage at the domestic and corporate levels. He has also published a book titled - "UNDERSTANDING WASTE = BIOENERGY" ISBN; 978-1-4567-8354-9. He has also published " SECRETS OF MEDICAL CANNABIS" ISBN: 979-85228-7529-9He has published over 55 papers on Solid Waste Waste Management.

He is a visiting lecturer at Jadavpur University and at the Indian Institution Of Engineers. He is the Vice-Chair of Icon SWM (https://www.iswmaw.com/)for the last 10 years.

About 5 years ago, he set up with another, GLOBAL LISTENING CENTRE (www.globallisteningcentre.org). It has now 2000 Medics and Academics worldwide who are all at Ph. D level or above. He is a treasurer of CSN with an annual budget o £400,000. He is also a member of Kings Improvement Science ( KIS ) and Centre for Implementation Science ( CIS ) based at Kings College Hospital. He sits in many communities under NIHR (ARC) forum as a PPI Member ( Patient Public Involvement ) He is also one of the 13 members of COVID-19 Research panel for the year 2021 set up by NIHR Applied Research Collaboration, South London. He is Trustee and Vice Chair of a Women’s Empowering Charity in India.
