Bode Meshioye is a seasoned storyteller, creative designer, and veteran of the advertising industry, with over three decades of experience shaping narratives through visuals and words. As one of the early pioneers of Nollywood, he played a key role in the rise of Africa’s film industry, working alongside his brother, Yemi Meshioye, a renowned producer and director.

Born in Lagos, Nigeria, and now residing in Milton Keynes, United Kingdom, Bode’s storytelling is deeply rooted in African culture, history, and the complexities of human nature. His works, including For the Sake of My Friend and Laje Kosa - Recall to Duwa, blend satire, mysticism, and social commentary, offering readers thought-provoking and immersive experiences.

In The Vicar’s Dog, Bode crafts a witty and insightful tale that explores the tensions between tradition and foreign influence, faith and doubt, all set against the backdrop of a vibrant African settlement. With a sharp eye for irony and a deep appreciation for cultural storytelling, he brings humor, depth, and poignancy to his narratives.
