Phil Ackerly

Phil Ackerly is a magician, speaker, and storyteller who has performed over 10,000 shows in his 40-year career. He graduated with a degree in electronics and worked for 15 years in the high-tech industry in Silicon Valley. In 1992, he decided to pursue a full-time career in magic.

Phil has won multiple awards in close-up, parlor, and stage magic, and has performed all over the country, including at the Magic Castle in Hollywood, California, and off-Broadway in New York City at Monday Night Magic.

Phil is a member of the Society of American Magicians, the International Brotherhood of Magicians (IBM), and The Oakland Magic Circle. He is an active member of the Society of American Magicians, Silicon Valley Assembly #94, serving as its president. Phil conducts workshops for schools, libraries, summer camps, and private parties, giving him the wealth of information that makes up this, his first published book on magic.

Phil Ackerly lives in Santa Clara, California.
