David M. Milloy

A native of Ayrshire, David practised law for over two decades before deciding to pursue a childhood ambition and become a motoring writer.

Since changing career, he has written for various UK motoring publications including Classic Car Weekly, Classic Car Buyer, Complete Kit Car, Absolute Lotus and Influx.

In 2020, he wrote his first book, The Ultimate Unofficial F1 Quiz Book. Half of his royalties from sales of the book go to charity. Before the year was out, David added two further books to his portfolio: The Ultimate Classic Car Quiz Book (available in paperback form only) and The Lost Highway, a short Ebook of (fictional) spooky stories.

In 2021, David teamed up with illustrator Russ Wallis to produce a new book, Lesser Spotted Classics. Offered only in paperback form, Lesser Spotted Classics tells the stories behind 21 cars that are rarely seen on UK roads. This has recently (November 2021) been followed up by The Ultimate Classic Car Quiz Book 2. Like its near-namesake, it's a lot more than just a quiz book...

Giving money to charitable causes is something that's very close to David's heart, so 25% of royalties from the sale of his three classic car books and 33.33% of royalties from The Lost Highway are donated to charity.

David is currently working on several new book projects.
