Jesse Prewitt

Still clinging to his country-boy roots, Jesse was born and raised in west-central Louisiana, to a work-at-home Mother and a Bi-Vocational Baptist Pastor Father. This Christian-Home up-bringing, combined with the work ethic of an agrarian lifestyle, flavors his unique writing and teaching skills.

Jesse came to Christ at an early age, but faced some personal struggles in his life that challenged his faith and threatened his ministry. After many years at what Jesse affectionately refers to as: Wilderness University, The Lord brought Jesse full circle and confronted him with his commitment to Christ and his call to the ministry.

Jesse attended Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, during the 1990's, and even served as part of a team of executive protection specialists, during the Leadership of the Founding Chancellor, his immediate family, and many visiting dignitaries. These experiences also flavor Jesse's writing skills.

A graduate of LeTourneau University, Longview, Texas, with a BS in Theological Studies and a Master of Strategic Leadership, and a Master of Biblical Exposition (MBE) from Andersonville Theological Seminary, Jesse is completing the Doctor of Theology (ThD), also at ATS, as well as a Doctor of Law and Policy (DLP) at Liberty University, as part of his on-going commitment to be the best he can be for Christ. Jesse has authored two published books with other projects to come.

Jesse has worked with many small, rural churches by assisting them to effectively share the Good News of Jesus Christ, help them heal and rebuild both their congregations and their faith, in the wake of various events resulting in the loss of church attendance and/or their pastor.

Armed with a rapier sharp wit and a lovable sense of humor, Jesse is well known for his masterful ability to present Biblical Truth in what is often described as "a clear and easy-to-understand manner", that challenges the hearer to draw closer to Christ.

Jesse and his family make their home in East Texas, where he serves as Senior Pastor at Burkeville Baptist Church. More information can be found on his Facebook page.
