Oleatha Everett Bethea

Minister Oleatha Everett Bethea is the founder and president of Summit of Light, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit ministry that has been serving Christian ministers and pastors since October 1999.

Before Summit of Light, Minister Bethea honorably served in the United States Air Force for 20 years, then in the legal profession for over 10.

In May 1994, Minister Bethea earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) – formerly the University of Maryland University College (UMUC).

She is the proud mother of three adult children; grandmother of three grandsons; and great grandmother of four. An accomplished speaker and published author, Minister Bethea is passionate about the Lord Jesus Christ (her faith), her family, and advocating for students who have disabilities — which are usually the topics of her speeches, presentations and written materials.

A former Colorado resident, Minister Bethea currently lives in beautiful Virginia close to her daughter and youngest grandson, Isaiah — although her heart still soars somewhere in the high country of the majestic Colorado Rocky Mountains!
