Dr. Philip S. Kim completed medical school at Loyola University Medical School in Chicago in 1992. He completed an Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine Residency and fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania in 2000. He was an assistant professor of anesthesia and pain medicine from 2000-2002. He completed a master's in functional medicine at the University of South Florida. He is triple boarded in anesthesiology, pain medicine, and integrative medicine.
He has been very active with many pain societies including NANS, AAPM, ASA, ASRA, and Pennsylvania Pain Society. He is president-elect for Pennsylvania Pain Society 2019-2021. He is involved with many research projects with a focus on neuromodulation and minimal invasive spine procedures. He is active in in writing various chapters and articles with a focus on medical cannabis, neurostimulation, and intrathecal drug delivery. He continues to be a reviewer for many journals including neuromodulation and regional anesthesia and pain medicine.
He has been nominated Castle Connelly TOP DOC many years in the Philadelphia and Delaware region.
He is founder and CEO of the Center for Interventional Pain Spine, LLC with multiple sites and physicians. He will continue to grow the practice with the integration of most advances minimal invasive and interventional procedures. In addition, with the group, have added comprehensive medical practice with the integration of functional medicine and myofascial program.
