David John Modica

David John Modica is a first-time author and practitioner of living in the now, a conscious seeker of truth for the past 35 years. He feels we all desire the same thing, to live in the consciousness of love. One of David's deepest passions of his heart is to share with others, on a similar or different journey, all the magic life has to offer.

David's life was anything but magical at the age of 55. After having been in the ICU for ten days, he woke up to a life of joblessness, homelessness, and worst of all unrelenting shame and a desire to not be here anymore. He lived out of his car for close to three months, showered at the local YMCA, and lived on a daily diet of fast-food and uncertainty. This was at an age in life where the majority of people were planning for retirement. He had lost all belief that he'd recover or, sorrowfully, ever want to.

In the face of having completely given up at that precise moment, one of the most beautiful gifts were about to be given to him, the gift of surrender. Standing on a hill, David threw his arms up in the air and cried out, "Father, I have failed. I cannot take my own life. I do not want to wake up tomorrow, so you can take it for me tonight." The next morning he awoke

to a feeling that was unlike any other he had felt before. Something was different and yet distinctively unfamiliar and nameless. The epiphany, as he calls it, was that he indisputably knew that he was responsible for every decision, every pain, everything that had taken place in his life. This external self was his creation.

With this new understanding, David was able to choose consciously and be attached to nothing. Life was nothing but unlimited potential. He now understood that with God anything was possible. This is when life's magic began to unfold, and unfold did it ever. David was blessed with an incredible career at one of the nations leading online educational companies. As an acoustic and electric guitarist and composer, he has since released 11 solo albums. And now the release of his first book "Signs Along The Path To Awakening." At the age of 60, David feels his life is just now beginning.

Others undeniably sense the joy which flows from his heart as a result of simply being present in the now. David is a walking, breathing example that anything is possible when you accept responsibility for your thoughts, which ultimately determines your outcome. He hopes to touch people's hearts across the globe through his writings. He is consciously dedicated to sharing the love which resides in each and every one of us.
