Cheryl Lee-White

Cheryl Lee-White is an award-winning children’s author and best selling poet living in Somerset, UK with her family.

She started off her writing journey as a parent blogger back in 2016 and from there she progressed to writing children’s books and then on to poetry. She contributes her success as a writer to constantly practising and developing her writing skills as well as being an avid reader.

Cheryl Lee-White is a writer with dyslexia and spent most of her young life as a reluctant reader. She discovered the power and joy of reading in her late teens and from there she has just flourished as a writer. She used to hide the fact that she has dyslexia but now she is proud of it and how she has found ways to overcome it to be the writer she is today.

Cheryl loves to write in rhyme and finds it is like doing a creative jigsaw puzzle. She knows what she wants her stories or poems to say but it takes some re-arranging and jiggleing around until the rhythm and rhyme fall into place.
