Kevin Halter

Kevin B. Halter was born in Budapest, Hungary in 1935. Together with his family he escaped Communist Hungary in 1948 and came to the United States at the age of 14.

He became a very successful businessman, starting 14 different unique business projects that no one had ever done before.

For many years friends and acquaintances who were familiar with parts of his life, urged him to write a book. While he agreed that his life's journey with all its trials and tribulations had been "interesting" to say the least, he resisted the urge to do so for many reasons.

He knew that some people wrote books to satisfy their own ego - something that certainly was not part of his vocabulary. But many people pointed out that by sharing his life's story, it could contribute in a meaningful way to the life of others, who could greatly benefit by it.

In the Introduction part of his book he states: "I truly hope and pray that by reading my story, some may recognize in their own lives more of the blessings they have received but never acknowledge or perhaps took for granted. Life has its ups and downs and how we act or react to it will greatly influence our lives. I learned that even when life seems the darkest, there is always hope as long as we try our best in the midst of adversity. The glass should always be seen as half full - never as half empty".
