Ray Adams grew up in the home of a devout Christian family, whose father was a military hero. My father was a member of the Army's 82nd Airborne and an accomplished Paratrooper. He boasted over 800 parachute jumps in war theatres and as an instructor at West Point, NY, Fort Benning, GA, and Fort Bragg, NC. He regularly taught his children the lessons of patriotism, our historical heritage, and to love the Bible. Those values translated into me pursuing a career choice in the field of Christian Education. Now I have been teaching for over 41 years at Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO. My love for Middle East History, Archaeology, and New Testament History has provided me with a rich and wonderful life. I have worked on several archaeological digs in Israel and that has afforded me the opportunity of leading many tours to Israel and other parts of the Middle East. I tell my wife that an archaeologist husband IS the BEST kind of husband to have. Because the older she gets; the more interested I am in her! My life path has provided me with many educational experiences and opportunities in ministry as well. My passion for the History of Israel during biblical times has encouraged me to write my first historical fiction entitled, "A Zealot's Redemption". It is filled with historical and biblical details that are woven into the fictional story of a Jewish freedom fighter during the time of Jesus. The twists and turns in his life bring him into a direct confrontation with his own mortality. I hope you will enjoy reading, "A Zealot's Redemption".
