Dr. Jérôme Dumetz is a specialist in cross-cultural management.
He has extensive experience as an intercultural researcher on Management practices in an international context. Having defended a thesis in Intercultural Management, he is also an independent trainer and consultant.
During his extensive career, he dealt with dozens of cultures. He lived, studied, and worked in 6 countries (France, Netherlands, USA, Canada, Russia, and Czech Republic), he has organized intercultural training for large global companies and is also a speaker for various Chambers of Commerce, Ministries, and academic conferences. His articles have been published in academic publications (Scopus, WoS, ERIH+) as well as in periodicals.
He is also the editor and co-author of an Cross-Cultural Management Textbook with renowned management specialists such as Fons Trompenaars, Ed Schein, Meredith Belbin, Dean Foster, or Stephen Covey. He has also published chapters in Palgrave's books "Building Bridges among BRICs", "The Influence of Business Cultures in Europe" as well as "Coronavirus & Management: Analyse interculturelle" in French with Fons Trompenaars.
Currently, most of Jérôme's professional activities consist of conducting professional workshops and teaching students at various Universities in Europe, as well as in Thailand, India, or China.
His latest publication, "199 Cross-Cultural Case Studies: Short stories of real cultural misunderstandings from around the world and their analysis" is a collection of, as the title suggests, 199 short, real-world examples of cultural blunders, misunderstandings, and miscommunications. The book is designed to provide practical insights for professionals, students, and travelers navigating diverse cultural environments.
