Deborah Dilks aka Debby Dilks grew up in northwest Missouri and moved south to the Greater Kansas City Area upon graduating from high school. She is married with two children, four grandchildren and a multitude of people she considers like her children and grandchildren from all over the world.
After thirty-three years of working at the University of Missouri Kansas City in the School of Computing and Engineering, she retired and now has the time to follow her first passion of writing. Her second passion is genealogy.
To date, she has three books written (Miss Kansas City Kitty, Mrs. Kansas City Kitty and From World War II to the Run of the Year) with plans to write at least three more books. She was an Associate Editor of A Living History of Northwest Missouri: Lye Soap and Sad Irons, Hometown Memories, LLC. She is a member of the Missouri Writers Guild, Inkers.com and Goodreads.
Debby says that she writes the untold stories of the common, everyday person.
