Gillian Charnock was born in 1975 and grew up in a small village on the banks of the River Tay in North East Fife. Tennis was her life from the age of 8 - resulting in numerous caps for representing Scotland and Britain at various international events.
However, by the age of 17, a persistent future husband arrived to stall her lofty ambition of becoming Wimbledon champion, and a career in journalism at D.C. Thomson soon beckoned. Gillian now juggles her role as Office Manager for the family security systems business with her novel writing - usually with an adorable but rather attention-seeking Labradoodle at her feet! Don't tell her husband and three children but she is definitely Rosie's favourite!
