Susan P. Hunter, a native New Englander now residing in Nashville, Tennessee, is an author, storyteller, and passionate advocate for Vietnam veterans. Inspired by the profound impact of the story that found her—chronicled in 77 Letters, Operation Morale Booster: Vietnam—Susan felt an undeniable calling to uncover and share the untold stories of those who served during the Vietnam War.
Driven by this mission, Susan spent nearly two years traveling across the United States, conducting in-depth interviews with individuals who experienced the war firsthand—military and civilian, American and Vietnamese. Through these powerful conversations, she explored the human side of conflict, shining a light on the resilience, sacrifice, and humanity of those touched by the Vietnam War.
To further amplify these voices, Susan launched a YouTube channel, The Bravest Generation: Vietnam, where she curates educational content to ensure that where history has overlooked or tried to forget, these stories are memorialized. Her channel lays the foundation for what she calls “the greatest story of vindication in modern times.”
In her latest book, The Bravest Generation, Susan passionately makes the case for why Vietnam veterans are deserving of this distinguished title, honoring their bravery, sacrifice, and enduring legacy.
Susan’s work is fueled by her deep Christian faith, love for her family, and unwavering patriotism for the United States of America. She remains dedicated to restoring the honor and recognition Vietnam veterans and their families have long deserved.
