Writing about the people and places I have seen along my way is something I have always wanted to do. To protect the guilty, I have chosen to add some flair and temper down some more ludicrous events and personalities to make them more believable.

Several years ago, I dug my heels into writing my first book, "Biddy," which was truly a beginner's project. It did indeed introduce me to the writing arena. Still, it did not prepare me for the wild ride of challenges and the plethora of revisions that awaited me when I wrote my second book, "Peculiar People."

Now that both books have been published, I look forward to immersing myself in what new adventures await me. Whatever book is in my future, I am taking one crucial lesson with me: the inevitability of the rewrite. This writer knows that it can entail months and months of that.

Currently, I am exploring the world of acrylic pour painting and other mediums requiring splashing, sloshing, and brushing paint onto canvas.

I am often asked if certain characters in my books are based on people I know, and occasionally, I have been asked, "Did you create that character based on me?" My answer is and remains a definite "No." Again, it is my goal to protect the guilty.
