Ren-Nay Brown is an author hailing from Kingston, Jamaica.
A native of the inner city community of Denham Town.
Ren-Nay has always aspired to be a writer from a very young age starting with writing small poems in the Children's Own newspaper while attending primary school. Transitioning into a young woman, she always kept her dreams alive writing in her notebooks and reading from Shakespeare and other authors of literature.
Her interest in writing poetry came from the likes of Jamaican poets like Claude McKay and Louise Bennett-Coverly.
And with that storytelling became an interesting challenge for her.
One day during the Covid-19 pandemic she took a leap of faith and self-published her first book of poetry Through to the Soul on Amazon then went on to publish two more pieces of work with a short story called A Night to Remember and a crime drama Murder:First Degree.
She went on to write several books of poetry and stories improving on her knowledge and craft.
Ren-Nay Brown is a nature lover, music lover and mother.
