Robert Loredo is the IBM Quantum Ambassador Worldwide Team Leader. He is part of the prestigious IBM Quantum team and is one of their most popular speakers and educators.
Robert has been at IBM for 18 years in roles of increasing responsibility. He is respected for his continual search for new knowledge, to learn more and to achieve more in every one of his roles. He is also a Qiskit Advocate (achieved through testing and certification), and an IBM Master Inventor with over 200 patents and was recently added to the list of prolific inventors from around the world (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_prolific_inventors). In his career, Robert has presented diverse workshops and lectures, as well as authored articles covering; artificial intelligence, bio-informatics, and quantum computing. He devotes much of his free time to philanthropy - contributing and volunteering to his community.

These funds will go to help the many doctors, nurses, and other medical professional and volunteers around the world where their main mission is to provide medical aid where it's needed most and do so with their efforts remaining independent, neutral, and impartial.
Robert’s other charitable activities include serving on the executive board of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) South Florida chapter for over 10 years mentoring professionals and students. He has also served as a mentor for over 10 years for the American Corporate Partners (ACP) where he works with military men and women transition from military to private sector careers, where many of his proteges have since obtained graduate degrees, created their own startups, or moved into lead corporate roles such as CEO, and CTO. He also shares his time volunteering on medical missions a few times a year working with a medical team that cares for thousands of patients internationally several times per year offering free medical visits and medicine.
As an adjunct professor, he has taught cloud computing and software engineering at the Florida International University School of Computer Science and holds a Bachelors and Masters degree in Computer and Electrical Engineering from the University of Miami and is currently pursuing his PhD in Computer Science with a specialization in Quantum Neuroinformatics at the Florida International University School of Computer Science. In 2019 he received the Distinguished Alumni award from the University of Miami College of Engineering for his giveback to the community and profession.
In his spare time, he enjoys participating in triathlons (completed his first Ironman in Australia on May of 2014), and as a former musician he enjoys playing the guitar, restoring amplifiers, and antique radios. His favorite activity is traveling and meeting people from all over the world. Robert is the guy you want to sit next to on an airplane, a great conversationalist with lots of diverse knowledge and interests. He is charming, affable, and engaging.
