Matthew Berrick

After graduating from a degree in International Relations I secured a training contract. I am currently a future Trainee Solicitor at Pinsent Masons. After undertaking a variety of legal and non legal work based in the United Kingdom and the United States I decided to pursue a career in commercial law. Experiences so far have included working over the summer in the United States Congress as well as a law firm based in San Francisco.

I founded a free service called The Legal Line Up with six other future trainees at international and magic circle firms. This service involves helping aspiring solicitors enter the profession by regularly publishing articles, providing mentoring and running events with various universities and organisations.

Recently my team supported the delivery of a virtual internship geared at helping students where we had presenters from a range of international law firms as well as companies such as Netflix, Expedia, Bank of America and Google.
