Alex Pearson

Alex lived and worked in China for 25 years where she established several businesses and organisations, including one of the “Top Ten Bookshops in the World” and China’s largest Literary Festival, a theatre company, an outdoor management training company and a leadership training business. She has travelled through Patagonia, Mongolia, Tajikistan, North Korea, Uzbekistan and of course China where she cycled from Beijing to the Mongolian grasslands 25 times.

Alex is most at home in a changing environment, and is able quickly to see solutions and opportunities, and work with teams and individuals to ignite potential and increase individual and team efficacy. She has a track record of creating successful small businesses with big impact, and now shares her knowledge and experience as a management trainer, consultant and facilitator with clients in the UK. Most recently Alex specialises in facilitation and training of sustainability leadership working with large and small organisations.

Director of the Yurt Academy, Alex is also Associate Professor at the Business School of the University of Sussex. She was awarded MBE in 2008.
