Robert W. Hyatt is a retired physician with a passion for history. He has written a biography about a Missouri pastor from his personal journals, family, and other historical sources. He has written a historical novel about a long-standing legend regarding a ghost that haunts Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. He spent seventeen years as a consulting physician there. Besides writing, he volunteers at the Missouri Historical Society in St. Louis, Missouri, providing assistance to visitors and researching historical issues. He also deals in antiques. He is married with two children, two step children, and one foster child. At present, he lives in St. Louis, Missouri or at the Lake of the Ozarks.
