Ellen Inverso, Psy.D. is the Director of Clinical Training and Implementation at the Beck Institute Center for Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Therapy. Inverso is an innovator of the nuts-and-bolts of clinical practice that produce culture change and improve outcomes. She has developed transformative CT-R programming for psychiatric inpatient units, programmatic residences, schools, and community teams, with special focus on adolescents and young adults, individuals engaging in extreme forms of self-injury, individuals considering transitions into the community following extended periods of institutionalization, and families. A licensed psychologist, Inverso mentors early career psychologists and her seasoned colleagues in CT-. Inverso has coauthored curricula for training peer specialists and expert trainers in CT-R. She has published mental health blogs for National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and Beck Institute. She has a forthcoming paper on using the cognitive triad to map and achieve the best self in the face of tough challenges.
