Clarence Ruth

Clarence Ruth is a New York-based fashion designer, artist and author. His work can be seen throughout North America and Asia. He have worked with brands to the likes of Tom Ford, John Varvatos, Ralph Lauren and Louis Vuitton just to name a few.

Clarence designed, wrote and illustrated the book, "Colors De La Runway” published by Schiffer Publishing, February 2019. Colors De La Runway book can be found on the shelves of The Museum of Modern Art, MoMA PS1, Hauser & Wirth and The High Museum of Art along with other retailers.

As an artist Clarence artwork was included in exhibitions at Polk Museum Of Art, The African Museum Of Art, Casterline Goodman Gallery and Krause Gallery. His contemporary pop art style combined with his social subject matter is what makes his work unique.

Clarence has founded his own brand called Cotte D’Armes. Cotte D’Armes the brand is a New York City based company that approaches denim with a think outside the box mindset as far as ready to wear clothing. Based on the essence of military infused with a hint of street chic biker - the denim generates a sense of rebel darkness and individuality. Under this label, he was recently named the winner of the New Legacy Challenge-facilitated by Tommy Hilfiger's eponymous brand and Harlem's Fashion Row. Ruth's brand has been displayed in stores such as Barney's, Saks Fifth Avenue, Oak NYC, and others.
