DAVID OWOEYE

David Owoeye is a sickle cell warrior who passionately shares my experiences of sickle cell crises, complications, and other challenges to help other sickle cell warriors. This is done so that their caregivers and the public can know how to go about helping them. Also, to improve the care given and encourage more research on sickle cell disorder.

He belongs to several sickle cell communities, locally and internationally, and he is one of the trustees of Beulah Sickle Cell Foundation Nigeria.

He is a prolific writer with some awards while serving in the editorial crew of some organizations; the 2003 best school (UITH) chapter editor-in-chief of the Nigerian Conference of Christian Medical and Dental Student (NCCMDS) nationally and the newsletter (MEDIZOE) produced during his tenure was awarded the best (nationally) for the year 2003.

He is a medical doctor and an infection prevention and control specialist with work experiences in the general medical practice for eight years, health insurance industry for six years, and infection prevention and control practice for upwards of six years.
