Erick Overveen

Erick Geurten (authorpseudonym: Erik Geurten), Heerlen, 8 June 1973, is a Dutch writer, journalist, moviedirector and deejay who debuted in 2003 with the novel The Last DJ/ Total Eclipse which had a major impact on the dutch mediaindustry. At the beginning of 2009 he collaborated with journalists Peter R. de Vries and Rob Hendriks on the book about the missing student Tanja Groen in Maastricht: 'Fietstocht zonder einde.' One year later, Geurten started an ambitious filmproject called 'Delirium?!', a feature film about the murder of filmmaker Theo van Gogh. Despite the initially positive media attention in dutch media, the project ran into the pre-production phase in 2012. Despite the negative media attention, Overveen continued to work on the novel version of Delirium!? (Official release date: October 1st 2020).
