Mona N. Shah

As Founder and Director of Vayati Systems and Research, Dr. Mona N. Shah offers her trademark earthy and transformational leadership solutions to build a kinder and sustainable world. She enables individuals, organizations and institutions to rethink, reform and reshape their ethos to meet the needs of a changing future.

She is a multi-dimensional professional with a career spanning over three decades in industry, academia and entrepreneurship. She’s at her best when engaged in launching pioneering initiatives and installing enduring systems. She graduated with distinction from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management Pune, in 1987. Her initial stints were with HCL Ltd, Agfa Gevaert, Indian Express and India Properties up until academics beckoned. At the National Institute of Construction Management and Research (NICMAR), she pioneered India’s programs in real estate, smart cities and infrastructure management after which she continued in the same vein at RICS School of Built Environment - Amity University. A popular teacher she’s been a recipient of awards for academic excellence and meritorious research conferred by professional bodies. Her publications are considered benchmark thought leadership in the areas of management and built environment.

Her career is defined as one absorbed in co-creating solutions for industry and research. She has associated with Hyundai, L&T, PMI, ADB, Shapoorji Pallonji, HDFC Securities Ltd, ABB, Siemens, Tata Housing, Godrej Properties in areas of training and research. Mona also serves on academic, company and non-profit boards and is an invited international speaker.

Her penchant for creativity and innovation, keeps her busy with interests in the performing arts, writing poetry, following nature trails, and counselling.
