Amit Agarwal is an engineer from the University of Roorkee (now IIT Roorkee). Currently working for a prestigious company, he took time out for the subject he is passionate about.

He is an avid marathoner and mountaineer, too. This is his fifth book. He has published his first book, “Swift Horses Sharp Swords,” and his second one, "A Never-Ending Conflict," on Indian history. His first book has also been translated into Hindi. His third book, Temple Treasures: A Journey through Time, on the history of temples, was gifted to PM Modi. His fourth book, Crossing Continents, on the European travellers to India in the medieval era, has been published in 2024. His latest book "Not Just Kohinoor" deals with the looted and stolen Indian diamonds.

He taught a history course for Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham students. In his spare time, he teaches math to underprivileged children. He can be reached on Twitter at @amit1119.
