Chik hylton

Chik Hylton is a retired stockbroker who was advising investors in Wall Street until he retired in 2015 because he lost his hearing that could not be repaired, even with a cochlear implant. Asked by doctors if he had been around noisy machinery or loud music, he reported that he was a stockbroker and had many clients screaming in his ear. The doctor understood.

He was encouraged to write his life story by a friend so future relatives may know and understand his thoughts and activities during his lifetime. By writing he felt he would not be exposed to too much television or mental inactivity in retirement.

He has written many books detailing his life story, brokerage experience, offering investment advice, chronicling his travels and writing about his brother's life.

He believes that his writing exposes his upbringing in Appalachia, his hillbilly accent and his love of country music. He does enjoy writing.
