Julie Moore

Julie Moore, found herself stung by the experience of painful deaths of multiple family members both human and animal. Looking for a way to soften her own grieving process, she had the inspiration to write a book to soothe and guide herself and other pet owners who are deeply troubled by the physical loss of their beloved companions. With an M.A. in Counselor Education and Educational Leadership, and as a certified counselor she has spent the past 25 years guiding students to success as they prepare for adulthood. One source of Julie’s joy is breeding and showing champion basset hounds under her kennel name ZephyrMoore Bassets. Julie is a lover of all things “dog”, a cup of coffee on a porch overlooking mountain views, deep conversation with friends, great food and spending time with her husband, Gary and their 5 bassets hounds.
