Thomson Roy

A LEGAL THRILLER AUTHOR

Thomson Roy studied history at Princeton and law at the University of Virginia. During his forty-year career he wrestled intellectual property thieves, corrupt politicians, egocentric businessmen, conniving partners, and destabilizing emotions on all sides as a lawyer, multinational executive, and global business consultant in over forty countries.

A GEOPOLITICAL THRILLER AUTHOR

He brings his experience and insights in geopolitics to life in Trading Secrets, the first novel in the Jake Payne international Thriller Series. But why should he have all the fun? Visit his website at paynethrillers.com (coming October 28) for true stories and occasional stimulating challenges (the "PayneThrillers"). You can also connect with him on Facebook.

AN INTERNATIONAL THRILLER AUTHOR

Thomson has lived with his family in Paris, Ipanema, Hong Kong, and Singapore. He has worked extensively in Tokyo, Seoul, Bangkok, Melbourne, Manila, and across South America, India, and China. During those periods, he has survived terrorist explosions, ISIS-led bomb squads, and other close calls.

He speaks English, French, Brazilian (the fun version of Portuguese), and gets by with taxi-competent Mandarin and Portunhol (heavily Brazilian influenced Spanish). He has discovered wonderful cuisine almost everywhere with a few notable exceptions like baked locusts, fried scorpions, live silkworms, bamboo rat, and putrid liver served with a side dish of rancor.
