Paul McBlaine

Paul McBlaine was born in Illinois, but his life took a significant turn when his father secured a job in California during the early days of computers. In a daring move, the family embarked on a cross-country road trip along Route 66, braving the journey with three children, all under the age of 12. This summer trip ignited Paul's passion for exploration and travel.

Growing up just 60 miles east of Los Angeles, Paul's curiosity led him to join the Navy after completing high school. During his time in the Navy, he received specialized training in repairing cryptographic equipment. His military service took him to various locations, such as San Diego, San Francisco, Norfolk (VA), Morocco, and Japan. Along the way, he took detours to visit Europe and the Philippines, enriching his experiences even further.

Fueled by a deep love for English literature, Paul immersed himself in reading and found inspiration to write. His extensive journals chronicled his global adventures, while his creative spirit gave birth to poetry and short stories. Today, he possesses stacks of unpublished works waiting to be shared with the world.

Upon returning home, Paul pursued higher education, earning Master's Degrees in Biochemistry and Biology. He then secured his first industry position as a researcher at Baxter Biotech. Meanwhile, during his pursuit of an MBA, he penned his first paper, emphasizing the significance of career development and taking ownership of one's professional journey.

True to his own beliefs, Paul embarked on a journey of career pivots, making more than twenty transitions over the span of four decades. Working as a management consultant, he lent his expertise to multiple industries in the United States, Australia, and London. Through coaching and mentoring, he helped countless individuals advance their careers and achieve their goals.

Paul, accompanied by his wife Lili, has made Chicago their cherished home. As the fourth generation to live, work, and play in the city, he continues to embrace a life filled with exploration, learning, and making a positive impact in the lives of others.
