When I was 12, my Mom put Agatha Christie's "Death on the Nile" in my hands and I was hooked on the mystery genre evermore. (Not co-incidentally, we were in the Caribbean at the time) I've been a voracious reader all my life - especially mysteries, and I prefer puzzles and great characters over procedurels and forensics - and I think you'll see that reflected in my writing. I had the opportunity to travel to the Caribbean many times over the years and loved it, which is why I decided to set my Archie Cavendish mysteries on the Caribbean island of St. Lazarus.

I am currently working on the second Archie Cavendish mystery and the pilot novel of a second series. It's been - Egad! Almost 40 years since my mother sent me down the Nile in the SS Karnak. But now, thanks to the encouragement and occasional necessary kick in the pants from the woman I Love - it's time for my characters to set sail on their own voyages. Join us, won't you?
