Hi, my name is Catherine, and I live in a little town in Ontario with my husband Wayne and cat Simba. I love playing baseball and camping. I have four children and six grandchildren.

My love of writing was encouraged by my grade eight English teacher Miss Nettleton. She would tell us that we would write a short story, and it had to be at least three foolscap pages long. Immediately I had a plot and characters, and the story unfolded as I wrote. I would read them to my sister and cousins, who enjoyed listening to me, read it aloud. When I told them that I would write and publish a book, they were eager to read whatever it was that I was going to produce.

Writing and publishing my first piece never would have happened if my husband Wayne hadn't encouraged me to do so. I took a break for a while and picked it up again after watching Steve Harvey's Apollo story. If you get a chance to watch it, I hope you will be inspired to follow after your dreams.
