Joanne Austin

Joanne Austin was born in Harrow Greater London, but now lives in Essex. She has just published her first ever book called Pony Talk! about the adventures of 10 talking Ponies from the local Pony Club. She originally wrote the first chapter for her children when they were young as a bedtime story. Life took over and she also lost her daughter tragically, so the book was put to one side. She eventually was encouraged to finish the book by her son. She has owned her own horse in the past and is a Volunteer for The Riding for the Disabled.

Her second book is called Shamrock Dolmes The Famous Horse Detective. It’s based on Sherlock Holmes, but with horses. Shamrock Dolmes a 16 hands black thoroughbred and his side kick Doc a chestnut Shetland pony solving the crimes.
