Cindy K. Stone was born and raised in a southern California farming town, where pomegranates ripened on a tree in the front yard. A veteran U.S. Air Force broadcast journalist, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication from Old Dominion University, Norfolk, Va., where social inequality and peace studies permanently permeated her worldview.
Cindy has three daughters—Katelyn, Jacey, and Julia—who each hold a piece of her heart. Exploring her mixed heritage, including in the Choctaw Nation, she meditates on living in a world where our universal connection to one another is precedent. Tuchali is her first title.
