John Macleod

John Macleod was born in a Japanese internment camp in Manila in 1942. After graduating from Notre Dame in 1963, he served as an artillery officer in the US Army. A year working for a major accounting firm convinced him to go to law school, and he returned to Notre Dame. He then went to Washington, DC, where he practiced law for forty-seven years. He was a founding partner and later chairman of Crowell & Moring, a major Washington-based firm. He and his wife, Ann Klee, live on a farm in the Shenandoah Valley with an assortment of dogs.
