I am a writer, theatre maker, storyteller, shadow puppet maker, drama teacher and I also work two days a week as a producer for a brilliant organisation called Fun Palaces. I believe that all of the many strands of my work crossover and join together at different points; they are all linked and build and grow from one another.
I have 15 years experience of working with young people and in schools, teaching drama, arts, creative writing and storytelling. I have also delivered workshops on homophobic / biphobic and transphobic bullying with the organisation Diversity Role Models, and have delivered talks on mental health in secondary schools for The Self Esteem Team.
I’m a passionate advocate for all equality and equity, but focus on LGBTQ+ education specifically, as being LGBTQ+ myself, I understand the difference this makes to the world. My first book; The Big Book of LGBTQ+ Activities was published in 2020 by Jessica Kingsley Publishers (JKP).
I have made theatre shows for children with LGBTQ+ characters and have performed at Omnibus Theatre, Arcola Theatre, The Space Roof Garden and Pontadawe Arts centre – to name but a few, and have also taken shows to Latitude Festival, In to The Wild Festival, to libraries and on schools tours.
