Alan Dunwiddie started investigating the world of finance for himself after following the official advice regularly regurgitated in mainstream media about how to save for your future. The very advice that saw many people's savings decimated in market crashes that occurred in 2000, 2001 and 2008. His first book, "How to Invest in Gold and Silver" was written in 2007. It reminded readers that 'Contrary to popular opinion, banks do go bust' and identified precious metals as a way to protect your savings against this possibility.
UK bank Northern Rock ran into difficulties in early 2008 just as the book went public and banks did go bust, were taken over or bailed out.
In 2019, many signs began to appear that all is not well with the world, culminating in the Corona crisis and crash of 2020.
His new 2020 book "Gold, Silver and Freedom - The Greatest Theft Never Known" brings together many of the jigsaw pieces, with some terrifying conclusions for the future we may all have to face, along with insights on possible solutions.
