POETRY AND PROSE to grow the life of your soul. My latest three-book series, "My Heart and Flesh Cry Out, poems," features new and selected poems from my previously published 13 books of contemplative poetry. I also write prose on the topics of spiritual formation, the spiritual disciplines and the five spiritual gifts. There is a path, and we do grow.

My work is original and draws on a lifetime of professional writing and practicing the disciplines. It is prayerfully crafted and written with my reader in mind. I also enjoy hosting workshops on these topics, and have recently discovered painting as a means of creative breakthrough. There is a coherency to the Christian pursuit of peace with God, and I believe the arts and theology go hand-in-hand, when it comes to finding our way. I also bring a background in philosophy and journalism to the page. I believe ideas matter, and truth is beautiful and can be known.
